About

We built disbatch for the one-person kitchen.

Not restaurants. Not ghost kitchens. Not delivery apps. The home baker taking orders through Instagram DMs, the caterer running Sunday drops out of a rental kitchen, the meal-prep operator packing containers on Thursday nights.

Our purpose

disbatch exists to make it possible to run a real food business from a home kitchen without stitching together six different apps. Our job is to remove the operational drag between a customer wanting to buy from you and you handing them their order — so the time you spend on your business is spent baking, cooking, packing, and building relationships, not chasing deposits in a group chat.

Who disbatch serves

Everything about disbatch — the pricing, the defaults, the language on the buttons — is designed for solo operators and very small teams. That means:

  • Home bakers selling custom cakes, cookies, and desserts by the batch or by the order.
  • Small caterers handling weekend drops, corporate lunches, and event platters out of shared or licensed home kitchens.
  • Meal preppers running weekly menus with recurring customer bases and tight prep windows.
  • Cottage-food operators in states with cottage-food laws, needing a professional storefront without restaurant-grade software.

If you have three employees, a POS, and a table-service floor plan, disbatch is not the right tool. If you're one person with an oven, a spreadsheet, and a growing DM inbox, it probably is.

Product philosophy

  • One workflow, end to end. Menu → hosted order form → deposit → confirmation → prep list → pickup → balance. Never a dead-end that sends you back to Instagram to finish the job.
  • Sensible defaults, easy overrides. The blackout dates, deposit rules, and pickup windows come pre-configured so you can take an order five minutes after signup, and every single one can be tuned as your business changes.
  • Boring reliability over flashy features. Payments through Stripe. Auth through a hardened session flow. Hosting on Cloudflare's edge. If the app breaks on a Saturday morning, real orders don't come in.
  • No dark patterns. Cancel from the billing portal in one click. Export your customer list at any time. No hidden fees, no auto-upgrades, no percentage cuts on your orders.

Who's behind it

disbatch is made by Fervent Tech Co, LLC, a small software company based in McDonough, Georgia. We work directly with home food operators to design the product and prioritize the roadmap. When you email support, you're emailing the people who built it — usually with a reply in the same business day.

We're not venture-backed. We're not chasing scale for its own sake. The company is set up so that the incentive is to make disbatch good enough that home food operators renew, not to squeeze margin out of every order that flows through it.

Why disbatch is different from generic restaurant tools

Most order-management platforms are built for restaurants and retrofitted for everyone else. That shows up in ways that matter: seat management you'll never use, KDS screens that assume line cooks, delivery integrations that split your revenue with a third party, and — most painful — pricing models that take a percentage of every order.

disbatch is built the opposite way. Flat monthly pricing so scaling your revenue doesn't scale your software bill. A menu model that understands custom orders, not just menu items. Pickup scheduling that respects prep time. Deposits collected up-front, not chased down after the fact. Everything you don't need for a home operation is either absent from the interface or off by default.

Our commitments to you

  • Flat pricing, forever. No per-order fees. No percentage cuts. What you charge is what you keep, minus Stripe's card fee.
  • You own your data. Your customers are your customers. Export at any time.
  • One-click cancellation. No retention holds, no hidden charges, no phone calls to get out.
  • Human support. Every email is answered by someone who can actually change the product.

Where we're going

Our roadmap is driven by what home food operators actually ask for. Recent shipping: server-side draft recovery so you don't lose onboarding progress mid-signup, cancellation-at-period-end handling so canceling doesn't lock you out of your paid month, and idempotent checkout so no one gets billed twice for the same subscription.

Ahead: better multi-day scheduling for catering, richer per-item customization, printable labels and pull-sheets, and integrations with the tools bakers already use for ingredient sourcing.
